About Turtles

Turtles is our advanced pre-school level, with 4 children in a class. Children starting lessons between 3 and 6 years of age who already have some confidence in the water start here.

Here your child further develops their water skills and builds the confidence to swim independently in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

What we work on

• Independent front and back floating and recovering to standing
• Submerging with confidence and opening eyes under water
• Push and glide in a streamline position
• Strong kicking on the front and back over short distances
• Survival skills

Moving up

• Your child can float, glide and kick independently over a short distance
• They are ready to move to Stingray, where body position is the key
