This level is the key level in swimming. Here we perfect body position on the front and back, a foundation skill needed for all future strokes.

About Stingray
Stingray is the final level before we start teaching strokes. It is important here to learn the foundation skills that prepare swimmers for strokes.
When they graduate from Stingray they move into our Advanced Learn to Swim program: Seal Pups for younger swimmers, or Seals for children 7 and over.
What we work on
- Swimming in deeper water
- Gaining core strength on their front and back
- Gaining a strong and correct streamline position
- Ensuring that a good strong kick is present
- Survival skills
Moving up
- Your child can torpedo with good body position
- Your child can back scull with good body position
- Your child has the core strength to take a breath and get their body back into a streamline position
